Vicky, Natalie & I (and Baby Ezra too) just returned from the MOPS International Convention in Nashville, TN. What an awesome time we had! The speakers included Max Lucado, Lisa Harper, Kathy Lipp, Lauren Dungy & Mary Beth Chapman! They spoke to us about being Bold, Loving & Sensible (This year's theme for MOPS International).
We had amazing music (Sara Groves, Mandesa, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Travis Cortrell)but the best part was networking with MOPS across the globe! There were 45 states and 13 nations represented at convention. MOPS of all age, race and spiritual background were gathered for one purpose- to be and build better moms! We sat through workshops where we could dig in and uncover great ideas on building a great MOPS Group. I have to say that after the general sessions and the workshops our head's are spinning!!!
One of the most amazing moments of the convention was hearing 2000 women singing without music in one voice- to Praise Jesus! We can't wait for next year and hope that more MOPS can join us as we invade Dallas, TX!
The countdown to our MOPS Kickoff is well underway! Our Open House/Registration Night is Thursday Sept. 15th! Come out to see what MOPS is about and bring a friend! You will also get a chance to meet the loving people who will be caring for your children while we relax and have fun!
